The short version of how Field Studio came to be, and what it’s set up to do for the contractors we work with.
For ten years, I was the project manager general contractors and developers called when a job got complicated — mostly multifamily high-rises going up around New York City and New Jersey. I loved that work. It also taught me, the hard way, how every trade really operates: what they’re great at, where money quietly slips away, and why being good at the work is never the same as having enough of it lined up.
A couple of years ago, I started experimenting with AI to take some of the painful, repetitive headaches off our plate — the stuff everyone grumbles about but nobody ever has time to fix. It worked, and I got a little obsessed. The more I built, the clearer it became that the same ideas could finally crack the problem every contractor I knew was living with: keeping good work coming in without having to hustle for it every week.
That’s why I started Field Studio. I kept meeting people who were genuinely brilliant at their craft and completely worn out by everything around it. The last thing they needed was one more app to log into. So we don’t sell you software — we build the system that brings in the work, we run it for you, and we hand back the part that actually matters: real jobs, on your calendar, from people ready to hire.
